ABOUT – ST. JOSEPH’S INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

St. Joseph’s Institute of Technology, located in OMR, Chennai, began its journey in 2011 as a higher education institution. The college offers six undergraduate courses: B.E. in CSE, ECE, EEE, and Mechanical Engineering, B.Tech. in Information Technology, And from 2021, B.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. It also introduced an MBA programme in 2022.

Affiliated with Anna University and approved by AICTE. The college earned NBA accreditation for its founding programmes (B.E. – CSE, ECE, Mech. Engg., and B.Tech. IT) in just six years — a remarkable achievement. In 2022, UGC granted the college Autonomous status, recognizing its consistent commitment to academic quality and excellence.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT BY ST. JOSEPH’S INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

On 12 September 2023, students from St. Joseph’s Institute of Technology participated in an industrial visit aimed at giving them hands-on exposure to real-world industrial practices. The visit served as an extension of classroom learning. Allowing students to witness the technical and operational aspects of a professional work environment.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to interact with industry professionals, observe real-time workflows, and understand the technologies and systems used in daily operations. The experience provided valuable context to their academic subjects and inspired them to explore new possibilities in their fields.

The visit not only deepened their technical knowledge but also enhanced their awareness of industry standards, workplace culture, and future career pathways. This experiential learning played a key role in bridging the gap between theory and practice, motivating students to pursue their goals with greater clarity and purpose.
