Many of the world’s hottest messaging apps like WhatsApp allow people to line their display name and a profile picture. This feature was missing on iMessage until the arrival of iOS 13. If you’d been missing this feature on iMessage, here’s your chance to line a custom name and profile photo. The newest iOS<\/span> release not only allows you to set a custom name, but now you’ll either set a profile photo directly from your photo gallery, otherwise you can even use custom Memoji<\/span> or Animoji<\/span>, if that is what you fancy.<\/p>\n

Keep on reading, as we tell you ways you’ll set a custom name and profile photo on iMessage in iOS 13.<\/p>\n

How to set a reputation and profile photo on iMessage<\/h3>\n

Note, that right after you’ve got updated your iPhone<\/span> to iOS 13, and you open the Messages app, you’ll automatically get a pop-up screen for fixing your name and profile photo. you’ll follow the on-screen prompts to urge this done.<\/p>\n

In case you skipped that step, follow these steps to<\/p>\n

  1. Open the Messages app<\/strong> and tap on the three dots icon<\/strong> at the highest . Now tap Edit Name and Photo<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. On iPhones that support Memoji, you’ll create that now. you’ll skip this step and on subsequent screen, the primary thing you’ll do is about your profile photo. to try to to that, tap Choose Name and Photo<\/strong> when setting it up for the primary time. If you’ve already set it up once, proceed to subsequent step.<\/li>\n
  3. Now you will be ready to choose a photograph from your gallery by tapping All Photos<\/strong> otherwise you can tap the Camera icon<\/strong> to click a selfie. you’ll even choose an Animoji or a Memoji. Once you’ve got made your choice, tap Done.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. Now you will see a pop-up asking if you would like to use that specific photo in your Apple ID<\/span> and My Card in contacts. you’ll either accept it by tapping Use otherwise you can ignore it by tapping Not Now<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  5. After you’ve got set your profile photo, you’ll key in your first and surname . This obviously doesn’t need to be your real name, so if you have been eager to be referred to as Darth Vader on iMessage, you recognize what to try to to .<\/li>\n
  6. Additionally, you’ll choose who to share your profile name and photo with. There are two options here \u2014 Contacts Only<\/strong> and Always<\/strong> Ask<\/strong>. The latter is best for privacy.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
