Recently, Google <\/span>unrolled a replacement feature for Google Maps<\/span>, which allows you to share your location with others. This way, you’ll easily allow a beloved to trace your journey<\/span> home, or let a colleague skills far you’re from office.<\/span> The new feature by Google Maps allows you to share your location to anyone, and you’ll choose how long this information is shared thereupon contact. Doing so is pretty simple, and it works an equivalent way on both Android and iOS.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is how you share your real-time location from Google Maps.<\/p>\n

1. Launch Google Maps, of course.<\/p>\n

2. Tap on the three-lines menu button,<\/strong> or swipe in from the left to reveal the menu then tap Share location.<\/strong><\/p>\n

3. Alternatively, tap on the blue dot<\/strong> within the bottom right corner, then tap Share location<\/strong><\/p>\n

4. Tap start to, well start . Now, you’ll choose the quantity of your time you’re sharing the contact for<\/strong>, which might be from quarter-hour to three days, otherwise you can tap on the button next to Until you switch this off.<\/strong><\/p>\n

5. Next, select the contact to share your location with from recent contacts, shown on the highest , by tapping on them.
\n6. If you would like to feature an individual who isn’t within the recent contacts, there’s another step – press the add contact icon which seems like the silhouette of an individual with a sign .<\/strong><\/p>\n

7. this may show you frequent contacts, otherwise you can tap Select people t<\/strong>hen tap on the people you would like to feature , then tap Share.<\/strong><\/p>\n

That’s it – you’re sharing your location at now – the persons you’ve sent it to will now see a notification on their phone see your location on Google Maps.<\/p>\n

There’s another thing you’ll do though – which is share your trip information with others i.e. if you’re driving to a destination, share with others how far you’ve reached.<\/p>\n

This is how you share your trip information with others via Google Maps in real time:<\/p>\n

1. In Google Maps, find your destination and begin navigation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

2. Tap the arrow pointing abreast<\/strong> of rock bottom right.<\/p>\n

3. Tap Share trip progress<\/strong><\/p>\n

4. you will be promoted to verify whether you would like to share your location. Tap activate to continue.<\/strong><\/p>\n

5. Add people as above, and share.<\/p>\n
