The app currently is merely available on Android and it just launched a replacement feature called Aadhaar payments.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This allows you to send money on to the recipient&#8217;s Aadhaar number via the BHIM app. It are often useful if the recipient doesn&#8217;t have a virtual payment address (<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">VPA<\/span>) for UPI, as an alternate to entering their account number and bank&#8217;s IFSC. There are some caveats to paying via Aadhaar via the BHIM app<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">First is that the person you&#8217;re sending money to should have their Aadhaar number linked to a checking account . If that&#8217;s not the case, then paying via Aadhaar won&#8217;t work. Secondly, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">BHIM<\/span> doesn&#8217;t show the account holder&#8217;s name (to prevent people from misusing the app to surface Aadhaar numbers), so double-check the amount carefully before sending money.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Open the<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> BHIM<\/span> app on your phone.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tap <strong>Send Money<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tap the three dots on the top-right. Choose Aadhaar Pay.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Enter the recipient&#8217;s <strong>Aadhaar number<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tap <strong>Verify<\/strong>. this may check if the Aadhaar number is linked to a checking account .<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The next step will show you the person&#8217;s<strong> Aadhaar number<\/strong>. confirm you double-check this because it doesn&#8217;t show the account holder&#8217;s name.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Enter the quantity and a reason for payment.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tap <strong>Pay<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BHIM is an app developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) that permits people to send and receive money using the Unified Payments Interface (UPI).
