        2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Policies > Microsoft > Windows.<\/strong><\/li>\n
        3. Right-click the Windows<\/strong> directory, and choose New > Key.<\/strong> Type in Windows Search,<\/strong> and hit enter.<\/li>\n
        4. Select Windows Search.<\/strong> within the right-hand side pane, right-click within the empty area and choose New<\/strong> > DWORD<\/strong> (32-bit) Value.<\/strong> Type in AllowCortana,<\/strong> and hit enter.<\/li>\n
        5. Double-click AllowCortana,<\/strong> and sort in 0 under Value Data.<\/li>\n
        6. Restart your computer, and Cortana should now be gone. rather than \u201cAsk me anything\u201d, the new search box will only say \u201cSearch Windows\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
