The DLR group of institutions is a gradual development of the seed sown by the philanthropist Mr D.L. RAVI., under the aegis of Sri Matha Bhuvaneshwari Educational trust in the year 2009. The seed sprouted initially as an exclusive women’s institute in the name Arcot Sri Mahalakshmi Women’s Teacher Training Institute of Elementary Education (D.T.Ed). & Arcot Sri Mahalakshmi Womens College of Education.

To get in to Higher Education more and more and for Boys & Girls, we have started DLR Arts & Science College (Co-Ed) in the Year 2017, with the approval of Govt of Tamilnadu and Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore.

The Institution is located in the serene, environmentally friendly green patches of Thathiravadi Village, Arcot, Ranipet Dist, geographically it is located in between two important heritage cities, namely Arcot, the Nawab-ruled kingdom known for its sweets and savouries, and Arni, a globally well-known city for its Rice and Silk merchandise. The number of village panchayats in and around is estimated to be approximately 450 and the approximate population is around 1,50,00,000. The institution is situated adjacent to State Highway, helping the students with an easy commute.
